Last night we went to this amazing Japanese restaurant, Zenkichi, in Williamsburg where we had many courses in a little black box. We all got the tasting menu - but I got the vegan version.
Tomato and Tuna Carpaccio
Beef carpaccio and chrysanthemum tempura
Yellowtail and daikon and pork bellyMatt inhaling the bamboo dish with chicken "meatballs." Apparently, it was tasty.
Dessert was milk pudding, black sesame mousse and something I've forgotten which was really tasty.
Grapefruit Jelly (made with agar - no gelatin)
Thom lifting the screen to our booth into Matt's face - doing whatever he can to ruin pictures of Jackie and Matt. Yup, he's an adult folks. Maybe we had too much unfiltered sake?
