We're having the full bathroom on the middle (parlor) level of the house replaced with a very small half bath. This will allow the rest of the room to be opened up. A couch will sit in the inset left by removing the bathroom.
In the meantime, we have a big empty room (except for garbage)... Hopefully, in a few weeks we'll have a brand new bathroom.
