Nope, we're not cutting it down. Apparently a lot of our neighbors have cut down similar trees but we're keeping ours - and building the deck around it. I wonder if it's older than the house?Just thought I'd show a close-up so you can see how insanely huge the tree really is. It's a welcome feature in our backyard.

Trees are such lovely natural shade! My dad has a tree in his deck. Just a couple months ago he had to cut the deck wider to fit the ever-growing trunk. For some reason that involved crawling under the deck among the nasty cobwebs etc. I'm pretty sure he was just looking for an excuse to go under there...
